Eat Dark Chocolate

I’m a definite chocolate lover. That came later in my life.  I’m not taking about M&Ms.  I talking about really, really good chocolates.  The kind that must be eaten slowly, letting the richness and creaminess be savored.  I wish I had kept some of the labels of the different kinds of chocolates I have tried.  Some of my favorites are from Whole Foods, Godiva and Trader Joe’s.  Trader Joe’s has a very inexpensive dark chocolate that I usually have everyday.  It’s a dark chocolate bar.  I break off a piece and savor it slowly.  It’s just amazing.   A sweet end to dinner.

Dark chocolate is not only sweet and good, it’s actually good for you.  You get antioxidants and the chocolate increases the neurotransmitter serotonin to make you feel good.  Dark chocolate also has minerals like iron, potassium, magnesium and copper.  Dark chocolate has MUFAs (monounsaturated fatty acids), important fatty acids for the body.

                                    So it’s ok to enjoy  dark chocolate.
